How We Work

Our Piling Methods

We deploy six proven techniques — selected based on soil profile, site constraints, and project requirements.

Hydraulic Rig
01
Hydraulic Rig

We specialize in bored piling with diameters ranging from 200 mm to 2000 mm and depths up to 50 meters. Using advanced hydraulic rotary rigs, we execute piling operations efficiently across a wide range of soil conditions. Our fleet includes high-performance rotary drilling rigs capable of working in restricted headroom areas while delivering precision, stability, and high productivity.

Secant Pile Walls
02
Secant Pile Walls

Secant pile walls are constructed by intersecting reinforced concrete piles to form a continuous retaining structure. Primary piles are installed first, followed by reinforced secondary piles after sufficient curing. This technique provides excellent groundwater control and soil retention, making it ideal for deep excavations, basements, and foundation support in challenging ground conditions.

Manual Auger Method
03
Manual Auger Method

The Manual Auger Method is a reliable piling technique suitable for locations with restricted access or where low noise and vibration are essential. A tripod and manual winch system are used to drill boreholes using a helical auger. This method is commonly employed for pile diameters ranging from 250 mm to 1000 mm and offers an economical solution for smaller foundation projects.

TMR — Water Circulation
04
TMR — Water Circulation

Our Truck Mounted Rotary (TMR) rigs utilize continuous bentonite slurry circulation to stabilize boreholes during drilling. Auger drilling is performed to the required depth while bentonite slurry supports the excavation and carries excavated soil back to a recycling tank. This method ensures bore stability, efficient spoil removal, and high productivity, particularly in loose or soft soil strata.

DMC Pile Method
05
DMC Pile Method

The DMC Pile Method employs Mendola-type rigs combined with bentonite drilling fluid for safe and efficient pile construction. Surface soil is loosened using a bailer before drilling continues with a percussion chisel. Bentonite slurry stabilizes the bore while transporting excavated material to settling pits. Once the desired depth is achieved, the drilling tools are removed and the final depth is verified before reinforcement and concreting.

Tractor Mounted Rotary Rig
06
Tractor Mounted Rotary Rig

This method utilizes tractor-mounted rotary drilling rigs for fast and economical pile boring. Auger drilling is carried out to the required depth, with DMC rods added progressively to achieve deeper penetration through varying soil strata. It is particularly suitable for medium-depth foundation works and offers drilling capacities of up to 16 meters with excellent operational efficiency.

Pile Foundation Services in Ahmedabad – Locality-by-Locality Guide

Ahmedabad is not one construction market — it is a patchwork of micro-markets, each with its own soil profile, building typology, and permit authority. A high-rise on SG Highway has different piling needs from a villa in Bopal, and a GIFT City tower has different needs from a Vatva GIDC warehouse. If you are searching for pile foundation services in Ahmedabad, what you actually need is a contractor who understands the specific locality your project is in. This page breaks down Ahmedabad locality-by-locality, explains what piling work each area typically requires, and describes how Jalmala Boring Works handles each.

West Ahmedabad – SG Highway, Bopal, South Bopal, Science City

West Ahmedabad is Ahmedabad's high-rise corridor. SG Highway (Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway) hosts G+15 to G+30 residential and commercial towers, each requiring 100–200 bored cast-in-situ piles with 600–1,200 mm diameters and depths of 20–35 meters. The soil here is black cotton over mixed strata, with rock often encountered at depth — requiring rock-socketed piles on some projects. Bopal and South Bopal are dominated by villa projects and low-rise residential, with shallower piles (10–20 meters) designed for black cotton soil expansiveness — under-reamed piles are common here. Science City and Thaltej mix high-rise residential with commercial, requiring both pile types depending on the specific project. Our pile foundation team in West Ahmedabad regularly executes projects in all four localities.

GIFT City – India's Only Operational Smart City

GIFT City (Gujarat International Finance Tec-City) sits 20 km from Ahmedabad and requires the deepest piling work in the region — 25–40 meter deep foundation with diaphragm walls for multi-level basements. Projects here must coordinate with the GIFT City Development Authority (separate from AMC and AUDA) and follow the city's specific building codes. Jalmala Boring Works has executed pile foundation and diaphragm wall work at GIFT City for both commercial and residential towers, with the specialized equipment and permit expertise this unique development requires.

Sanand & Changodar – Ahmedabad's Industrial Corridors

Sanand is the automotive and manufacturing hub of Gujarat — Tata Motors, Ford, and dozens of auto-component plants call it home. Industrial pile foundation in Sanand requires heavy-load capacity for manufacturing equipment and warehouse structures, with design loads often significantly higher than residential work. Changodar is the logistics and warehousing corridor along the Ahmedabad-Rajkot highway, with frequent fast-track projects requiring rapid mobilization. Both areas fall under GIDC (Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation) for industrial estates, which has its own permit processes distinct from AMC. Our industrial piling services in Ahmedabad include the GIDC permit coordination these projects need.

Vatva & Naroda GIDC – Established Industrial Estates

Vatva GIDC and Naroda GIDC are Ahmedabad's oldest and most established industrial estates — chemical, pharmaceutical, textile, and engineering units operate here in dense clusters. Piling in these estates often involves space-constrained sites, requiring compact rigs and careful coordination with adjacent operating units. Pile design must account for potential soil contamination in older estates (chloride and sulfate exposure per IS 456 classification). Jalmala Boring Works has two decades of experience in these estates, and our pile foundation services in Vatva and Naroda GIDC include the corrosion protection and access planning these dense estates require.

Central & South Ahmedabad – Maninagar, Chandkheda, Motera, Satellite

Maninagar (south) and Chandkheda–Motera (north, near the Narendra Modi Stadium) are established residential areas with smaller plot sizes and older infrastructure. Piling work here tends to be redevelopment and infill projects (10–15 meter piles), with tight site access requiring careful rig selection. Satellite and Vastrapur are Ahmedabad's premium central residential zones, with a mix of high-rises and bungalows. Our pile foundation services across central and south Ahmedabad are calibrated for the tighter site conditions these localities present.

Permit Authorities – AMC, AUDA, GIDC, GIFT City

Ahmedabad piling projects fall under four different permit authorities. AMC (Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation) governs the core city — Maninagar, Satellite, Vastrapur, Naroda, and the old city. AUDA (Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority) governs the peripheral areas — Bopal, South Bopal, Science City, and parts of SG Highway. GIDC governs industrial estates — Vatva, Naroda, and parts of Sanand and Changodar. GIFT City Development Authority governs GIFT City exclusively. Our pile foundation services in Ahmedabad include assistance with permit documentation for all four authorities — we know the process for each, which is why our projects move through approvals faster than contractors who only know one authority.
