How We Work

Our Piling Methods

We deploy six proven techniques — selected based on soil profile, site constraints, and project requirements.

Hydraulic Rig
01
Hydraulic Rig

We specialize in bored piling with diameters ranging from 200 mm to 2000 mm and depths up to 50 meters. Using advanced hydraulic rotary rigs, we execute piling operations efficiently across a wide range of soil conditions. Our fleet includes high-performance rotary drilling rigs capable of working in restricted headroom areas while delivering precision, stability, and high productivity.

Secant Pile Walls
02
Secant Pile Walls

Secant pile walls are constructed by intersecting reinforced concrete piles to form a continuous retaining structure. Primary piles are installed first, followed by reinforced secondary piles after sufficient curing. This technique provides excellent groundwater control and soil retention, making it ideal for deep excavations, basements, and foundation support in challenging ground conditions.

Manual Auger Method
03
Manual Auger Method

The Manual Auger Method is a reliable piling technique suitable for locations with restricted access or where low noise and vibration are essential. A tripod and manual winch system are used to drill boreholes using a helical auger. This method is commonly employed for pile diameters ranging from 250 mm to 1000 mm and offers an economical solution for smaller foundation projects.

TMR — Water Circulation
04
TMR — Water Circulation

Our Truck Mounted Rotary (TMR) rigs utilize continuous bentonite slurry circulation to stabilize boreholes during drilling. Auger drilling is performed to the required depth while bentonite slurry supports the excavation and carries excavated soil back to a recycling tank. This method ensures bore stability, efficient spoil removal, and high productivity, particularly in loose or soft soil strata.

DMC Pile Method
05
DMC Pile Method

The DMC Pile Method employs Mendola-type rigs combined with bentonite drilling fluid for safe and efficient pile construction. Surface soil is loosened using a bailer before drilling continues with a percussion chisel. Bentonite slurry stabilizes the bore while transporting excavated material to settling pits. Once the desired depth is achieved, the drilling tools are removed and the final depth is verified before reinforcement and concreting.

Tractor Mounted Rotary Rig
06
Tractor Mounted Rotary Rig

This method utilizes tractor-mounted rotary drilling rigs for fast and economical pile boring. Auger drilling is carried out to the required depth, with DMC rods added progressively to achieve deeper penetration through varying soil strata. It is particularly suitable for medium-depth foundation works and offers drilling capacities of up to 16 meters with excellent operational efficiency.

Pile Foundation Services in Bhavnagar – Alang Ship-Breaking, Port & Coastal Saurashtra Expertise

Bhavnagar is not a general Saurashtra coastal city. It hosts Alang — the world's largest ship-breaking yard, handling approximately 40% of global ship recycling capacity, plus Bhavnagar Port and the Ghogha-Rozi RoPax ferry terminal — India's first passenger ferry across the Gulf of Khambhat. Add Bhavnagar's GIDC industrial belt, Khodiyar industrial area, and the Gulf of Khambhat's saline coastal soil (with one of the world's largest tidal ranges at 8-12 meters), plus Seismic Zone III and cyclone exposure, and Bhavnagar requires piling expertise that is genuinely distinct. If you are looking for pile foundation services in Bhavnagar, you need a contractor who understands ship-breaking, port, and coastal piling. Jalmala Boring Works brings 60+ years of deep foundation expertise to every Bhavnagar pile foundation project we take on.

Alang Ship-Breaking Yard – World's Largest Ship Recycling Hub

Alang is the world's largest ship-breaking yard, handling approximately 40% of global ship recycling capacity. Ships from around the world are beached here for dismantling, cutting, and material recovery. Ship-breaking infrastructure piling is a specialized discipline: winch foundations for the high-capacity, high-tension anchors that pull ships onto the beach; dry dock infrastructure for ship inspection and staging; heavy-lift equipment foundations for cranes moving ship sections; cutting yard platform piling for working surfaces; waste handling facility foundations for hazardous materials storage; and boundary infrastructure. All Alang piling requires Zone III seismic design, chloride-resistant concrete (Gulf of Khambhat saline), and cyclone-resistant detailing. Our Alang ship-breaking piling covers the full range of ship recycling infrastructure.

Gulf of Khambhat – India's Highest Tidal Range

The Gulf of Khambhat has India's highest tidal range (8-12 meters between high and low tide) and high salinity. Groundwater chlorides are typically 2,000-5,000 mg/L — much higher than inland sites. For Bhavnagar coastal piling, this requires: Portland slag cement (PSC with 50-60% slag) or sulfate-resisting cement; 75-100 mm minimum cover on cast-in-situ piles; concrete grade M40+ with low permeability; epoxy-coated rebar in splash/tidal zones; and often cathodic protection for critical marine infrastructure. Per IS 456, Bhavnagar coastal zones fall into "severe" to "very severe" exposure classification. Without these specifications, piles deteriorate within 15-20 years — a quarter of the intended 50-year design life. Our Bhavnagar Gulf of Khambhat saline piling is specified to these extreme requirements.

Ghogha-Rozi Ferry – India's First RoPax Across the Gulf

The Ghogha-Rozi ferry terminal is India's first RoPax (Roll-on/Roll-off passenger) ferry service across the Gulf of Khambhat, connecting Ghogha (near Bhavnagar) with Rozi (near Jamnagar) and reducing travel distance from ~400 km by road to ~30 km by sea. The terminal infrastructure requires: approach jetty piling with high-capacity marine piles for vehicle and passenger loading; berthing structure piling for ship mooring; terminal building foundations; vehicle queuing area piling; breakwater and shoreline protection piling. All require Gulf of Khambhat marine conditions, tidal range design, and cyclone-resistant detailing. Our Ghogha-Rozi ferry terminal piling is calibrated to these specific port conditions.

Bhavnagar Port & Historic Maritime Hub

Bhavnagar Port is one of Gujarat's historic ports on the Gulf of Khambhat, serving coastal shipping and regional trade. Marine piling for Bhavnagar Port requires: berthing structure piling for coastal vessels; cargo handling area piling; storage shed foundations; approach road and rail infrastructure piling; and shore protection works. All port piling requires Gulf of Khambhat saline soil specifications, tidal range design, and cyclone-resistant detailing. Our Bhavnagar Port piling covers the full range of port infrastructure.

Bhavnagar GIDC, Khodiyar & Industrial Belt Coverage

Beyond Alang and the port, Bhavnagar's industrial belt extends across several zones. Bhavnagar GIDC hosts mixed industrial units (engineering, chemicals, food processing, textiles). Khodiyar is an industrial area with manufacturing and processing units. Sihor, Palitana, Mahuva, and Talaja are surrounding towns with industrial and residential piling. All share the Gulf of Khambhat saline soil conditions, Seismic Zone III design, and cyclone-resistant detailing. Our Bhavnagar industrial belt piling covers all these locations.
