How We Work

Our Piling Methods

We deploy six proven techniques — selected based on soil profile, site constraints, and project requirements.

Hydraulic Rig
01
Hydraulic Rig

We specialize in bored piling with diameters ranging from 200 mm to 2000 mm and depths up to 50 meters. Using advanced hydraulic rotary rigs, we execute piling operations efficiently across a wide range of soil conditions. Our fleet includes high-performance rotary drilling rigs capable of working in restricted headroom areas while delivering precision, stability, and high productivity.

Secant Pile Walls
02
Secant Pile Walls

Secant pile walls are constructed by intersecting reinforced concrete piles to form a continuous retaining structure. Primary piles are installed first, followed by reinforced secondary piles after sufficient curing. This technique provides excellent groundwater control and soil retention, making it ideal for deep excavations, basements, and foundation support in challenging ground conditions.

Manual Auger Method
03
Manual Auger Method

The Manual Auger Method is a reliable piling technique suitable for locations with restricted access or where low noise and vibration are essential. A tripod and manual winch system are used to drill boreholes using a helical auger. This method is commonly employed for pile diameters ranging from 250 mm to 1000 mm and offers an economical solution for smaller foundation projects.

TMR — Water Circulation
04
TMR — Water Circulation

Our Truck Mounted Rotary (TMR) rigs utilize continuous bentonite slurry circulation to stabilize boreholes during drilling. Auger drilling is performed to the required depth while bentonite slurry supports the excavation and carries excavated soil back to a recycling tank. This method ensures bore stability, efficient spoil removal, and high productivity, particularly in loose or soft soil strata.

DMC Pile Method
05
DMC Pile Method

The DMC Pile Method employs Mendola-type rigs combined with bentonite drilling fluid for safe and efficient pile construction. Surface soil is loosened using a bailer before drilling continues with a percussion chisel. Bentonite slurry stabilizes the bore while transporting excavated material to settling pits. Once the desired depth is achieved, the drilling tools are removed and the final depth is verified before reinforcement and concreting.

Tractor Mounted Rotary Rig
06
Tractor Mounted Rotary Rig

This method utilizes tractor-mounted rotary drilling rigs for fast and economical pile boring. Auger drilling is carried out to the required depth, with DMC rods added progressively to achieve deeper penetration through varying soil strata. It is particularly suitable for medium-depth foundation works and offers drilling capacities of up to 16 meters with excellent operational efficiency.

Pile Foundation Services in Dahej PCPIR – LNG Tanks, Gas Processing & Petrochemical Complexes

Dahej is not just another Bharuch district industrial estate. It is India's premier PCPIR — a Petroleum, Chemicals and Petrochemicals Investment Region designated under the PCPIR Act of 2007, covering ~453 sq km with its own development authority, regulatory framework, and industrial safety standards. Within this PCPIR, two distinct zones operate: the Dahej SEZ (Special Economic Zone under the Development Commissioner) and the Dahej GIDC (industrial estate under Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation). Onshore industrial piling inside these zones — LNG storage tanks, gas processing units, pipeline terminals, petrochemical complexes — is different from both generic industrial piling and Dahej Port marine piling. If you are looking for pile foundation services in Dahej PCPIR, you need a contractor who understands the PCPIR regulatory framework and the specific onshore industrial project types. Jalmala Boring Works brings 60+ years of deep foundation expertise to every Dahej PCPIR pile foundation project we take on.

Dahej PCPIR Regulatory Framework – A Different Approval Regime

Piling inside Dahej PCPIR requires approval from the PCPIR Development Authority — a framework separate from both Bharuch municipal and GIDC NAA processes. The PCPIR approval framework includes: PCPIR Development Authority method statement and design approval (4-6 weeks); GIDC NAA or SEZ Development Commissioner coordination (depending on zone); environmental clearance conditions compliance; industrial safety documentation aligned with PCPIR petroleum/chemical/petrochemical hazards; and coordination with PCPIR infrastructure (roads, water, power). Contractors unfamiliar with PCPIR processes face 4-8 week delays in approvals — often longer than the actual piling duration. Our Dahej PCPIR piling services include complete PCPIR, SEZ, and GIDC permit coordination as part of standard scope.

LNG Storage Tank Foundations – Cryogenic-Compatible Piling

Dahej hosts India's largest LNG terminals (Petronet LNG, Shell, and additional capacity under development), with LNG storage tanks typically 80,000-200,000 m³ capacity. LNG tank pile foundations are among the most technically demanding in industrial piling. Four characteristics differentiate them: cryogenic compatibility — while LNG is contained within the inner tank, the pile foundation must isolate thermal loads from the cryogenic process, requiring special pile cap design and often thermal breaks; settlement control — LNG tanks cannot tolerate differential settlement of more than 25 mm across an 80+ meter diameter, requiring strict pile load testing and pile group verification; high capacity — each tank rests on 300-500 high-capacity piles (typically 1,000-1,500 mm diameter, 40-60 meter depth, 500-800 tonnes capacity per pile); and safety classification — LNG tanks are critical infrastructure with 50+ year design life and rigorous quality assurance at every stage. Our LNG storage tank piling in Dahej is calibrated to these requirements.

Petrochemical Complexes – BCPL, OPAL, GACL

Dahej PCPIR hosts India's largest concentration of petrochemical complexes — BCPL (Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited), OPAL (ONGC Petro additions Limited), GACL (Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited), and dozens of upstream and downstream petrochemical units. Complex-level piling requires: multi-unit coordination (process units, storage tank farms, utilities, flare stacks); PCPIR-compliant safety protocols; refinery-grade documentation (ITPs, third-party material testing, full quality records); and often rock-socketed or high-capacity piles depending on the specific structure. Our petrochemical complex piling in Dahej covers the full range of units these complexes require.

Gas Processing, Pipeline Terminals & COT Foundations

Beyond LNG tanks and petrochemical complexes, Dahej PCPIR requires piling for gas processing units, cross-country pipeline terminals, and COT (Crude Oil Terminal) facilities. These projects differ from standard industrial piling: gas processing units require vibration-sensitive foundations for compressors and heat-exchangers; pipeline terminals require foundation design for pipeline manifold loads, pig launcher foundations, and metering skids; COT facilities require tank farm piling for crude storage, plus utility infrastructure. Standard industrial piling assumptions don't apply — each of these structures has specific load and vibration requirements. Our gas processing and pipeline terminal piling in Dahej is engineered to the specific industrial requirements of each project.

Serving All of Dahej PCPIR – SEZ, GIDC & PCPIR Zones

We serve the entire Dahej PCPIR region — including onshore piling inside the Dahej SEZ, Dahej GIDC, and the larger PCPIR zone. Our site visit commitment is 24-48 hours, with rig mobilization typically 12-18 working days from contract award (PCPIR/SEZ approval cycles add to the timeline). For fast-track projects with pre-approved permits, mobilization can be accelerated to 10-14 working days. Whether your project is an LNG storage tank addition, a new gas processing unit, a pipeline terminal expansion, a petrochemical complex phase, or a COT facility, our Dahej PCPIR piling contractor team is ready to mobilize under the applicable regulatory framework.
