How We Work

Our Piling Methods

We deploy six proven techniques — selected based on soil profile, site constraints, and project requirements.

Hydraulic Rig
01
Hydraulic Rig

We specialize in bored piling with diameters ranging from 200 mm to 2000 mm and depths up to 50 meters. Using advanced hydraulic rotary rigs, we execute piling operations efficiently across a wide range of soil conditions. Our fleet includes high-performance rotary drilling rigs capable of working in restricted headroom areas while delivering precision, stability, and high productivity.

Secant Pile Walls
02
Secant Pile Walls

Secant pile walls are constructed by intersecting reinforced concrete piles to form a continuous retaining structure. Primary piles are installed first, followed by reinforced secondary piles after sufficient curing. This technique provides excellent groundwater control and soil retention, making it ideal for deep excavations, basements, and foundation support in challenging ground conditions.

Manual Auger Method
03
Manual Auger Method

The Manual Auger Method is a reliable piling technique suitable for locations with restricted access or where low noise and vibration are essential. A tripod and manual winch system are used to drill boreholes using a helical auger. This method is commonly employed for pile diameters ranging from 250 mm to 1000 mm and offers an economical solution for smaller foundation projects.

TMR — Water Circulation
04
TMR — Water Circulation

Our Truck Mounted Rotary (TMR) rigs utilize continuous bentonite slurry circulation to stabilize boreholes during drilling. Auger drilling is performed to the required depth while bentonite slurry supports the excavation and carries excavated soil back to a recycling tank. This method ensures bore stability, efficient spoil removal, and high productivity, particularly in loose or soft soil strata.

DMC Pile Method
05
DMC Pile Method

The DMC Pile Method employs Mendola-type rigs combined with bentonite drilling fluid for safe and efficient pile construction. Surface soil is loosened using a bailer before drilling continues with a percussion chisel. Bentonite slurry stabilizes the bore while transporting excavated material to settling pits. Once the desired depth is achieved, the drilling tools are removed and the final depth is verified before reinforcement and concreting.

Tractor Mounted Rotary Rig
06
Tractor Mounted Rotary Rig

This method utilizes tractor-mounted rotary drilling rigs for fast and economical pile boring. Auger drilling is carried out to the required depth, with DMC rods added progressively to achieve deeper penetration through varying soil strata. It is particularly suitable for medium-depth foundation works and offers drilling capacities of up to 16 meters with excellent operational efficiency.

Pile Foundation Services in Dholera SIR – Greenfield Smart City & Saline Soil Piling Experts

Dholera is fundamentally different from every other city in your piling portfolio. It is India's first greenfield smart city — a 920 sq km Special Investment Region under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), built from scratch on previously undeveloped land. That means no legacy contamination (unlike Ankleshwar or Vapi), no existing soil data (every plot requires its own geotechnical investigation), and saline soil and historic salt pan land from Gulf of Khambhat proximity (~30 km). It also means governance through DICDL and DSIRDA — not GIDC, not municipal corporations. If you are looking for pile foundation services in Dholera SIR, you need a contractor who understands greenfield SIR piling. Jalmala Boring Works brings 60+ years of deep foundation expertise to every Dholera pile foundation project we take on.

Saline Soil & Salt Pan Land – The Defining Challenge

Dholera's soil profile is dominated by saline conditions from two sources: the region was historically used for salt production (salt pans), and it sits ~30 km from the Gulf of Khambhat, creating saltwater intrusion into the coastal aquifer. For piling, this means: elevated chlorides and sulfates in soil and groundwater; IS 456 exposure classification typically in 'severe' to 'very severe' categories; and concrete durability requirements that exceed standard construction practice. Mitigation: sulfate-resisting cement (SRC) or Portland slag cement (PSC with 50%+ slag); 75-100 mm minimum cover; epoxy-coated rebar in aggressive zones; low-permeability concrete (M35+); and often cathodic protection for critical infrastructure. Our saline soil piling in Dholera is specified to these requirements, not generic construction standards.

Greenfield SIR – No Legacy Soil Data, Every Plot Requires Investigation

Unlike Ankleshwar or Vapi (where decades of industrial development provide soil data from prior projects), Dholera is a greenfield SIR — there is limited historical soil data for the region. Every piling project requires its own site-specific geotechnical investigation: boreholes at the project location, SPT and lab testing, groundwater analysis, and soil chemistry (chlorides, sulfates, pH). Generic "Dholera soil" assumptions are insufficient because the region varies from salt pan land to agricultural to reclaimed — soil conditions change over short distances. Our Dholera piling projects start with site-specific geotechnical investigation, not interpolated regional data.

DICDL & DSIRDA Governance – A Different Approval Regime

Dholera SIR is governed by two entities. DICDL (Dholera Industrial City Development Limited) — the SPV managing Activation Area development, jointly owned by Gujarat and Central governments. DSIRDA (Dholera SIR Development Authority) — the regulatory authority for the entire SIR. For piling approvals: projects inside the Activation Area require DICDL coordination for infrastructure access plus DSIRDA permits; projects outside the Activation Area require DSIRDA permits with additional infrastructure self-development provisions. Approval timelines are longer than standard municipal or GIDC processes (4-6 weeks for DSIRDA plus 2-3 weeks for DICDL within the Activation Area). Our DICDL and DSIRDA permit coordination is handled as part of standard scope.

Activation Area – Where Most Dholera Piling Happens Today

Within the 920 sq km SIR, the Activation Area is a 22.5 sq km Phase 1 zone where trunk infrastructure (roads, water, power, ICT, underground utilities) is already developed. This is where most current Dholera piling projects are located — industrial, commercial, residential, and infrastructure. Projects inside the Activation Area benefit from existing utilities and DSIRDA/DICDL coordination experience; projects outside the Activation Area are true greenfield with self-developed infrastructure. Our Activation Area piling is calibrated to both scenarios.

Semiconductor, Renewable Energy & Infrastructure Projects

Dholera SIR hosts some of India's most ambitious greenfield projects. Tata Electronics semiconductor fab — sub-micron lithography requires vibration isolation and ultra-low settlement tolerances combined with saline soil durability. Solar parks — hundreds of MW of renewable capacity requiring high-volume rapid piling (500-3,000 piles per park, 300-500 mm diameter). Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway — bridge piers, flyovers, and corridor infrastructure. Dholera International Airport — runway, terminal, and aviation infrastructure piling. Smart city underground utilities — foundation piling for utility tunnels, pump stations, and treatment facilities. Our Dholera infrastructure piling covers all of these specialized applications.

Serving Dholera SIR – Activation Area, Expressway, Airport Corridor

We serve the entire Dholera SIR region — including pile foundation projects in the Activation Area, the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway corridor, Dholera International Airport project zone, the semiconductor fab area, solar parks, and smart city infrastructure. Our site visit commitment is 24-48 hours across the entire SIR, with rig mobilization typically 12-18 working days from contract award (Dholera is ~100 km from our Sarkhej HQ via Dholka). For fast-track industrial or infrastructure projects with pre-approved DSIRDA/DICDL permits, mobilization can be accelerated to 10-14 working days. Whether your project is a greenfield industrial facility, a solar park, a semiconductor fab support structure, or expressway infrastructure, our Dholera piling contractor team is ready to mobilize.
