How We Work

Our Piling Methods

We deploy six proven techniques — selected based on soil profile, site constraints, and project requirements.

Hydraulic Rig
01
Hydraulic Rig

We specialize in bored piling with diameters ranging from 200 mm to 2000 mm and depths up to 50 meters. Using advanced hydraulic rotary rigs, we execute piling operations efficiently across a wide range of soil conditions. Our fleet includes high-performance rotary drilling rigs capable of working in restricted headroom areas while delivering precision, stability, and high productivity.

Secant Pile Walls
02
Secant Pile Walls

Secant pile walls are constructed by intersecting reinforced concrete piles to form a continuous retaining structure. Primary piles are installed first, followed by reinforced secondary piles after sufficient curing. This technique provides excellent groundwater control and soil retention, making it ideal for deep excavations, basements, and foundation support in challenging ground conditions.

Manual Auger Method
03
Manual Auger Method

The Manual Auger Method is a reliable piling technique suitable for locations with restricted access or where low noise and vibration are essential. A tripod and manual winch system are used to drill boreholes using a helical auger. This method is commonly employed for pile diameters ranging from 250 mm to 1000 mm and offers an economical solution for smaller foundation projects.

TMR — Water Circulation
04
TMR — Water Circulation

Our Truck Mounted Rotary (TMR) rigs utilize continuous bentonite slurry circulation to stabilize boreholes during drilling. Auger drilling is performed to the required depth while bentonite slurry supports the excavation and carries excavated soil back to a recycling tank. This method ensures bore stability, efficient spoil removal, and high productivity, particularly in loose or soft soil strata.

DMC Pile Method
05
DMC Pile Method

The DMC Pile Method employs Mendola-type rigs combined with bentonite drilling fluid for safe and efficient pile construction. Surface soil is loosened using a bailer before drilling continues with a percussion chisel. Bentonite slurry stabilizes the bore while transporting excavated material to settling pits. Once the desired depth is achieved, the drilling tools are removed and the final depth is verified before reinforcement and concreting.

Tractor Mounted Rotary Rig
06
Tractor Mounted Rotary Rig

This method utilizes tractor-mounted rotary drilling rigs for fast and economical pile boring. Auger drilling is carried out to the required depth, with DMC rods added progressively to achieve deeper penetration through varying soil strata. It is particularly suitable for medium-depth foundation works and offers drilling capacities of up to 16 meters with excellent operational efficiency.

Pile Foundation Services in Gujarat – State-Wide Coverage Across All 33 Districts

Gujarat is not one construction market — it is four distinct geological zones, each with its own soil profile and piling challenges. The saline clay and marsh of Kutch demands a different approach from the basalt and black cotton of Saurashtra. The deep alluvial deposits of South Gujarat require different equipment from the rocky strata of North Gujarat. If you are looking for pile foundation services in Gujarat, you need a contractor who understands this diversity — not a one-size-fits-all piling team. Jalmala Boring Works brings 60+ years of deep foundation expertise to every Gujarat pile foundation project we execute, from Ahmedabad to Mundra, from Surat to Bhuj.

Gujarat's Four Geological Zones and How They Change Piling Approach

Kutch Zone — The Rann of Kutch and coastal Kutch present saline clay, marsh deposits, and high water tables. These conditions reduce skin friction, require careful bentonite management, and demand higher corrosion protection for reinforcement and casing per IS 456 exposure classification. Piles in Kutch are typically designed with larger diameters and enhanced concrete cover.

Saurashtra Zone — Rajkot, Jamnagar, Junagadh, and Bhavnagar sit on Deccan trap basalt with black cotton soil overburden in many areas. Rock is often encountered at shallow depth (2–10 meters), requiring rock-socketed pile techniques and heavy chiselling rigs. Black cotton soil — expansive when wet — requires under-reamed piles to resist swelling pressure. We adapt the pile type and equipment based on strata at each site.

South Gujarat Zone — Surat, Bharuch, Ankleshwar, Valsad, and Vapi have deep alluvial deposits, high water tables, and coastal influences. The region's dense chemical and textile industrial base also means chloride-rich soil conditions near industrial clusters. Bentonite management and casing are critical here, and bored pile foundation services in South Gujarat must handle both soft soil and industrial contamination risks.

North Gujarat Zone — Mehsana, Palanpur, Himmatnagar, and Patan have rocky strata and semi-arid conditions. Rock is encountered at variable depths, and water tables are lower than in the southern and coastal zones. Pile design here often focuses on bearing capacity in weathered rock rather than water table management.

Gujarat Industrial Corridor Pile Foundation Expertise

Gujarat is India's industrial powerhouse, and Jalmala Boring Works has executed pile foundation services across Gujarat's major industrial corridors. Sanand — automotive and manufacturing plants require high-capacity industrial piling with black cotton overburden handling. Mundra — port and SEZ infrastructure with saline coastal soil and heavy load requirements. Hazira — LNG terminals and steel plants requiring marine-grade piling. Dahej PCPIR — petrochemical, chemical, and pharmaceutical facilities with aggressive soil conditions. Ankleshwar and Vapi — chemical industry clusters with contamination risks. Dholera SIR — greenfield smart city with virgin land piling. GIFT City — high-rise financial hub with deep basement requirements.

Gujarat Mega Infrastructure Project Experience

Beyond industrial work, we deliver pile foundation for Gujarat's mega infrastructure projects. The Ahmedabad-Mumbai Bullet Train corridor passes through multiple soil zones in Gujarat — from Ahmedabad's black cotton to Surat's alluvial to Valsad's coastal — requiring diverse piling approaches. Ahmedabad Metro Phase 1 and Phase 2 required diaphragm walls and deep foundations in the dense urban core. Dholera SIR involves greenfield piling across virgin land with variable strata. Mundra Port expansion requires marine-grade piles in saline coastal conditions. Our pile foundation team in Gujarat is mobilizable to any of these project corridors under relevant contractor arrangements.
