Pile Foundation
Bored Cast-in-Situ Piling Specialists
Jalmala Boring Works provides Pile Foundation and Deep Foundation Solutions using Bored Cast-in-Situ Piles for residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. With advanced Hydraulic Rotary Rigs, we construct piles from 300 mm to 1800 mm diameter and depths of up to 50 metres, delivering reliable load-bearing capacity across soft soil, hard rock, and high groundwater conditions.

Our Piling Methods
We deploy six proven techniques — selected based on soil profile, site constraints, and project requirements.

We specialize in bored piling with diameters ranging from 200 mm to 2000 mm and depths up to 50 meters. Using advanced hydraulic rotary rigs, we execute piling operations efficiently across a wide range of soil conditions. Our fleet includes high-performance rotary drilling rigs capable of working in restricted headroom areas while delivering precision, stability, and high productivity.

Secant pile walls are constructed by intersecting reinforced concrete piles to form a continuous retaining structure. Primary piles are installed first, followed by reinforced secondary piles after sufficient curing. This technique provides excellent groundwater control and soil retention, making it ideal for deep excavations, basements, and foundation support in challenging ground conditions.

The Manual Auger Method is a reliable piling technique suitable for locations with restricted access or where low noise and vibration are essential. A tripod and manual winch system are used to drill boreholes using a helical auger. This method is commonly employed for pile diameters ranging from 250 mm to 1000 mm and offers an economical solution for smaller foundation projects.

Our Truck Mounted Rotary (TMR) rigs utilize continuous bentonite slurry circulation to stabilize boreholes during drilling. Auger drilling is performed to the required depth while bentonite slurry supports the excavation and carries excavated soil back to a recycling tank. This method ensures bore stability, efficient spoil removal, and high productivity, particularly in loose or soft soil strata.

The DMC Pile Method employs Mendola-type rigs combined with bentonite drilling fluid for safe and efficient pile construction. Surface soil is loosened using a bailer before drilling continues with a percussion chisel. Bentonite slurry stabilizes the bore while transporting excavated material to settling pits. Once the desired depth is achieved, the drilling tools are removed and the final depth is verified before reinforcement and concreting.

This method utilizes tractor-mounted rotary drilling rigs for fast and economical pile boring. Auger drilling is carried out to the required depth, with DMC rods added progressively to achieve deeper penetration through varying soil strata. It is particularly suitable for medium-depth foundation works and offers drilling capacities of up to 16 meters with excellent operational efficiency.

Pile Foundation Contractor Bhavnagar – Alang Ship-Breaking Vendor Registration & SRB Compliance
This page is for Alang plot owners, ship recyclers, SRB compliance teams, and GMB port authority procurement evaluating piling vendors for ship-breaking infrastructure. It is not a services overview — it is a functional guide to Alang piling vendor registration, SRB compliance, GMB clearances, and HSE/OSEP protocols that determine whether a contractor can actually work at the ship recycling yard. For the engineering services themselves (ship-breaking infrastructure, port, coastal), see our Bhavnagar piling services page.
SRB (Ship Recycling Board) Compliance – Hong Kong Convention Framework
SRB (Ship Recycling Board) is the regulatory authority for ship-breaking operations in India, operating under the Hong Kong Convention (HKC) framework. For piling contractors working at Alang, SRB compliance means: contractor registration with SRB; HSE compliance aligned with HKC requirements (worker safety, environmental protection); documented waste management protocols for ship-breaking byproducts; participation in SRB audits; and alignment with the ship recycling facility's own SRB-approved plan. Contractors without SRB experience face 4-8 week delays in approval — often the biggest bottleneck for first-time Alang piling vendors. Our Alang SRB-compliant piling documentation is complete on first submission.
GMB (Gujarat Maritime Board) Vendor Registration
Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB) contractor registration for Alang piling work involves: GMB vendor registration application; submission of ISO 9001:2015 certificate, safety audits, financials, past project references, and statutory compliance; verification of technical capability; alignment with the Alang plot owner's approved contractor list; and SRB compliance cross-verification. Registration takes 4-6 weeks initially, then 2-3 weeks for project-specific approvals. Our GMB Alang piling vendor registration is current and PQ-complete.
HSE/OSEP Protocols – Ship-Breaking Environment
Alang ship-breaking HSE/OSEP protocols are more rigorous than general construction because of hazardous materials present at ship-breaking yards (asbestos, heavy metals, oils, gases). Required: HSE Management System aligned with SRB and GMB; OSEP familiarity for ship-breaking facilities; gas testing awareness; hazardous materials handling protocols; trained personnel with ship-breaking safety certifications; lost-time injury records for last 3 years; third-party safety audits; contractor all-risk insurance with ship-breaking coverage. Missing HSE documentation is the most common reason Alang vendor registration fails. Our Alang HSE/OSEP compliant piling documentation is complete on first submission.
Plot Owner Empanelment – No Central Portal
Alang has ~150 individual plot owners, each operating its own ship-breaking facility. There is no central Alang plot-owner vendor portal. Registration requires: each plot owner's own vendor registration system; ISO 9001:2015 certificate, SRB/GMB compliance, HSE records, ship-breaking project references, technical capability documentation; and Alang-specific requirements including ship-breaking infrastructure piling experience (winch foundations, dry docks), HSE familiarity, and coastal saline-soil concrete specifications. Registration takes 3-4 weeks per plot owner; group-level empanelment for large owners covers multiple plots. Our Alang plot owner empanelment covers the major plot owners across the yard.
PQ Pack and Pre-Award Verification
Standard PQ pack for Alang piling tenders includes: ISO 9001:2015 certificate with audit reports; SRB compliance documentation; GMB vendor registration; HSE/OSEP documentation; financial statements (audited 3 years); ship-breaking or port project references; equipment capability statement; statutory compliance; key personnel CVs with ship-breaking experience; past load test and PIT reports; contractor all-risk insurance; ship-breaking-specific safety certificates. Missing SRB or GMB registration results in immediate disqualification. Our Alang PQ pack is complete on first submission — saving 4-6 weeks of evaluation time.
