How We Work

Our Piling Methods

We deploy six proven techniques — selected based on soil profile, site constraints, and project requirements.

Hydraulic Rig
01
Hydraulic Rig

We specialize in bored piling with diameters ranging from 200 mm to 2000 mm and depths up to 50 meters. Using advanced hydraulic rotary rigs, we execute piling operations efficiently across a wide range of soil conditions. Our fleet includes high-performance rotary drilling rigs capable of working in restricted headroom areas while delivering precision, stability, and high productivity.

Secant Pile Walls
02
Secant Pile Walls

Secant pile walls are constructed by intersecting reinforced concrete piles to form a continuous retaining structure. Primary piles are installed first, followed by reinforced secondary piles after sufficient curing. This technique provides excellent groundwater control and soil retention, making it ideal for deep excavations, basements, and foundation support in challenging ground conditions.

Manual Auger Method
03
Manual Auger Method

The Manual Auger Method is a reliable piling technique suitable for locations with restricted access or where low noise and vibration are essential. A tripod and manual winch system are used to drill boreholes using a helical auger. This method is commonly employed for pile diameters ranging from 250 mm to 1000 mm and offers an economical solution for smaller foundation projects.

TMR — Water Circulation
04
TMR — Water Circulation

Our Truck Mounted Rotary (TMR) rigs utilize continuous bentonite slurry circulation to stabilize boreholes during drilling. Auger drilling is performed to the required depth while bentonite slurry supports the excavation and carries excavated soil back to a recycling tank. This method ensures bore stability, efficient spoil removal, and high productivity, particularly in loose or soft soil strata.

DMC Pile Method
05
DMC Pile Method

The DMC Pile Method employs Mendola-type rigs combined with bentonite drilling fluid for safe and efficient pile construction. Surface soil is loosened using a bailer before drilling continues with a percussion chisel. Bentonite slurry stabilizes the bore while transporting excavated material to settling pits. Once the desired depth is achieved, the drilling tools are removed and the final depth is verified before reinforcement and concreting.

Tractor Mounted Rotary Rig
06
Tractor Mounted Rotary Rig

This method utilizes tractor-mounted rotary drilling rigs for fast and economical pile boring. Auger drilling is carried out to the required depth, with DMC rods added progressively to achieve deeper penetration through varying soil strata. It is particularly suitable for medium-depth foundation works and offers drilling capacities of up to 16 meters with excellent operational efficiency.

Pile Foundation Contractor Dahej – PCPIR Vendor Registration & EPC Procurement Guide

This page is for PCPIR Development Authority procurement teams, SEZ unit procurement managers, and EPC contractors evaluating piling subcontractors for Dahej projects. It is not a services overview — it is a functional guide to how piling subcontractor selection actually works inside Dahej PCPIR, with the specific documentation, registration processes, verification criteria, and pre-award questions that determine whether a contractor can actually be mobilized. For the services themselves, see our Dahej PCPIR piling services page. This page is about the procurement process, not the work itself.

PCPIR Vendor Registration – The Three-Layer Framework

Piling contractors working inside Dahej PCPIR need three separate registrations depending on which zone their project is in. First, PCPIR Development Authority registration — required for any piling work inside the notified PCPIR zone (~453 sq km). Second, SEZ Development Commissioner empanelment — required for projects inside the Dahej SEZ boundary, which is a separate layer on top of PCPIR registration. Third, GIDC NAA registration — required for projects inside the Dahej GIDC industrial estate, which is different from PCPIR and SEZ approvals. Most major projects inside the SEZ require all three registrations. Initial registration takes 4-6 weeks; project-specific approvals add 2-3 weeks. Contractors without these registrations face 8-12 week delays — often fatal to project schedules. Our PCPIR piling vendor registration covers all three.

EPC Subcontract PQ Pack – What Must Be Complete

For Dahej PCPIR megaprojects, piling subcontractors submit a PQ pack to the EPC contractor or complex owner. Incomplete PQ packs add 3-6 weeks to evaluation. Standard PQ pack contents: ISO 9001:2015 certificate with current audit reports; QMS manual with ITP samples from past projects; Safety management system with past safety audit reports; Financial statements (audited for last 3 years with turnover and net worth details); Project reference list with client contacts — BCPL, OPAL, GACL, or LNG tank experience is highly valued; Equipment capability statement (rig specifications, ancillary equipment); Statutory compliance (GST, PAN, PF, ESI, labor license, insurance); Key personnel CVs; Past load test and PIT reports; and Contractor all-risk insurance. A complete PQ pack submitted on first attempt signals a mature contractor — incomplete PQ packs that require weeks of clarification are a red flag.

Why BCPL/OPAL/GACL/LNG References Are Critical

When selecting piling contractors for Dahej PCPIR, petrochemical and LNG project references are decisive. Four reasons. Technical differentiation — LNG storage tank piling (cryogenic compatibility, 25-mm settlement control across 80+ meters) cannot be demonstrated through generic industrial experience. Safety protocol familiarity — PCPIR petrochemical safety framework requires OSEP coordination, mutual aid familiarity, and rigorous permit-to-work discipline. Documentation standards — EPC-level ITPs, third-party material testing, and full quality records are the baseline. Regulatory recognition — the PCPIR Development Authority and SEZ Development Commissioner recognize prior BCPL/OPAL/GACL/LNG experience, accelerating permit approvals. Contractors with genuine petrochemical references can provide specific project details, load test reports, and client contacts for verification. Contractors without them often overstate generic industrial experience.

Multi-Unit Megaproject Coordination – A Unique Capability

Dahej PCPIR megaprojects (BCPL, OPAL, GACL, Petronet LNG) have multiple interdependent units — process units, storage tank farms, utility systems, flare stacks — each on independent construction schedules. Multi-unit coordination capability is a distinctive requirement. It involves running separate rig crews across multiple sites within the same complex, coordinating shared access roads and utilities, aligning independent unit schedules with the complex-level master schedule, managing documentation across units to EPC-level standards, and ensuring safety compliance across all units simultaneously. Few Indian piling contractors have this capability — it requires multiple rigs, multiple project managers, and complex inter-unit coordination experience. When evaluating Dahej PCPIR piling contractors, ask specifically about multi-unit coordination experience on past projects — not just total pile count.

Safety Audit & Industrial Compliance Records

PCPIR petrochemical safety documentation is more rigorous than general construction requirements. When verifying piling vendors for Dahej PCPIR, require: ISO 45001 or equivalent safety management; documented safe work procedures aligned with petrochemical hazards; operator competency certificates; permit-to-work system familiarity; gas testing awareness; OSEP coordination documentation; mutual aid response protocol familiarity; lost-time injury statistics for last 3 years; third-party safety audit reports; contractor all-risk insurance; and specific petrochemical safety training certificates. Missing any of these typically adds 4-6 weeks to approval timelines. Our safety documentation pack is complete on first submission — a differentiator that matters in procurement evaluation.

Pre-Award Questions for Dahej PCPIR Piling Contractors

Before awarding, ask every shortlisted contractor these questions: (1) Provide your PCPIR Development Authority registration number and SEZ empanelment status. (2) List three BCPL, OPAL, GACL, or LNG tank project references with client contacts. (3) Share your most recent third-party safety audit report and OSEP coordination documentation. (4) Describe a multi-unit megaproject you have coordinated — how many rigs, how many units, how many independent schedules? (5) For LNG tank piling, how do you achieve the 25-mm settlement control requirement? (6) What is your ITP structure and how does it integrate with our EPC QMS? (7) Share your standard subcontract terms and payment schedule. (8) What is your mobilization timeline for a Dahej PCPIR project starting from contract award? Contractors who hesitate on any of these should be excluded from shortlist.
