Pile Foundation
Bored Cast-in-Situ Piling Specialists
Jalmala Boring Works provides Pile Foundation and Deep Foundation Solutions using Bored Cast-in-Situ Piles for residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. With advanced Hydraulic Rotary Rigs, we construct piles from 300 mm to 1800 mm diameter and depths of up to 50 metres, delivering reliable load-bearing capacity across soft soil, hard rock, and high groundwater conditions.

Our Piling Methods
We deploy six proven techniques — selected based on soil profile, site constraints, and project requirements.

We specialize in bored piling with diameters ranging from 200 mm to 2000 mm and depths up to 50 meters. Using advanced hydraulic rotary rigs, we execute piling operations efficiently across a wide range of soil conditions. Our fleet includes high-performance rotary drilling rigs capable of working in restricted headroom areas while delivering precision, stability, and high productivity.

Secant pile walls are constructed by intersecting reinforced concrete piles to form a continuous retaining structure. Primary piles are installed first, followed by reinforced secondary piles after sufficient curing. This technique provides excellent groundwater control and soil retention, making it ideal for deep excavations, basements, and foundation support in challenging ground conditions.

The Manual Auger Method is a reliable piling technique suitable for locations with restricted access or where low noise and vibration are essential. A tripod and manual winch system are used to drill boreholes using a helical auger. This method is commonly employed for pile diameters ranging from 250 mm to 1000 mm and offers an economical solution for smaller foundation projects.

Our Truck Mounted Rotary (TMR) rigs utilize continuous bentonite slurry circulation to stabilize boreholes during drilling. Auger drilling is performed to the required depth while bentonite slurry supports the excavation and carries excavated soil back to a recycling tank. This method ensures bore stability, efficient spoil removal, and high productivity, particularly in loose or soft soil strata.

The DMC Pile Method employs Mendola-type rigs combined with bentonite drilling fluid for safe and efficient pile construction. Surface soil is loosened using a bailer before drilling continues with a percussion chisel. Bentonite slurry stabilizes the bore while transporting excavated material to settling pits. Once the desired depth is achieved, the drilling tools are removed and the final depth is verified before reinforcement and concreting.

This method utilizes tractor-mounted rotary drilling rigs for fast and economical pile boring. Auger drilling is carried out to the required depth, with DMC rods added progressively to achieve deeper penetration through varying soil strata. It is particularly suitable for medium-depth foundation works and offers drilling capacities of up to 16 meters with excellent operational efficiency.

Pile Foundation Contractor Dholera SIR – DICDL/DSIRDA Vendor Registration & Greenfield Procurement
This page is for Dholera SIR developers, industrialists, EPC contractors, and DSIRDA/DICDL project owners evaluating piling contractors. It is not a services overview — it is a functional guide to how piling subcontractor selection actually works inside Dholera SIR, with the specific registrations, documentation, greenfield verification criteria, and pre-award questions that determine whether a contractor can be mobilized. For the manufacturing services themselves (saline soil engineering, Activation Area piling, semiconductor/expressway/solar), see our Dholera SIR piling services page.
The Dholera Vendor Framework – DICDL + DSIRDA
Piling contractor approval in Dholera SIR works through two separate entities. DICDL (Dholera Industrial City Development Limited) — the SPV managing Activation Area development, jointly owned by Gujarat and Central governments. DICDL registration is required for infrastructure access and site readiness coordination inside the Activation Area. DSIRDA (Dholera SIR Development Authority) — the regulatory authority for the entire 920 sq km SIR. DSIRDA permits are required for any construction (including piling) anywhere in the SIR. For Activation Area projects, both registrations apply; for wider SIR projects, only DSIRDA applies. Registration timelines: DICDL 3-4 weeks; DSIRDA 4-6 weeks per project. Contractors without both face 6-10 week delays. Our DICDL/DSIRDA piling vendor registration in Dholera covers both entities.
PQ Pack – What Must Be Complete for Dholera Piling
For Dholera SIR piling, subcontractors submit a PQ pack to DICDL, DSIRDA, or the project owner. Incomplete PQ packs add 4-8 weeks to evaluation. Standard contents: ISO 9001:2015 certificate with current audit reports; QMS manual with ITP samples from greenfield/SIR projects; Safety management system with audit reports; Financial statements (audited, 3 years); Project reference list with client contacts — greenfield/SIR references strongly preferred; Equipment capability statement; Statutory compliance (GST, PAN, PF, ESI, labor license, insurance); Key personnel CVs; Past load test and PIT reports — preferably from saline-soil projects; and Evidence of site-specific geotechnical investigation capability. The last item is unique to greenfield projects — contractors without it often cannot produce site-specific investigation reports because they don't do them.
Greenfield Experience – A Distinctive Verification Criterion
Dholera SIR is India's first greenfield smart city — there is no legacy soil database and no prior project experience in the region to reference. When selecting piling contractors for Dholera, greenfield experience is a distinct verification criterion for three reasons. First, site-specific investigation — greenfield-experienced contractors run boreholes at each plot instead of assuming regional soil data. Second, saline-soil familiarity — Dholera's salt pan land and Gulf proximity require chloride-resistant concrete specifications that generic industrial contractors often miss. Third, greenfield logistics — no existing utilities, roads, or access at the site; greenfield contractors plan for water supply, power, and material staging from scratch. Verify greenfield experience by asking for site-specific geotechnical investigation reports from past projects — this is the single most revealing check.
Saline Soil Specifications – What Must Be Specified
Dholera's saline soil requires concrete specifications beyond standard practice. When verifying Dholera piling vendors, confirm the contractor specifies: sulfate-resisting cement (SRC per IS 12330) or Portland slag cement (PSC with 50%+ slag); 75-100 mm minimum cover; concrete grade M35+; low-permeability concrete (via silica fume or specialized admixtures); epoxy-coated or galvanized rebar in aggressive zones; and often cathodic protection for critical infrastructure. Per IS 456 exposure classification, most Dholera sites fall into 'severe' to 'very severe' categories. Contractors who specify generic M25 concrete with 50 mm cover for Dholera projects are under-designing — a fundamental mismatch with the site. This is a critical pre-award check.
Activation Area vs Wider SIR – Procurement Differences
The Dholera SIR is 920 sq km, but most current piling work is inside the 22.5 sq km Activation Area where infrastructure is already developed. Procurement differences: Activation Area projects require DICDL registration for infrastructure coordination plus DSIRDA permits for construction; wider SIR projects require DSIRDA permits with self-developed infrastructure. Contractor selection criteria differ: Activation Area contractors must demonstrate DICDL coordination experience; wider SIR contractors must demonstrate full greenfield infrastructure self-development capability. When evaluating Dholera piling contractors, confirm which scenario your project fits and verify the corresponding experience.
Pre-Award Questions for Dholera SIR Piling
Before awarding, ask every shortlisted contractor: (1) Provide three greenfield or SIR project references with client contacts. (2) Share your most recent third-party safety audit report. (3) What is your DICDL registration status and DSIRDA permit track record? (4) Describe your site-specific geotechnical investigation methodology for greenfield projects — how do you handle no legacy soil data? (5) What concrete specifications will you use for Dholera's saline soil, and why? (6) For our specific project type (semiconductor, solar, expressway, industrial), what specialized experience do you bring? (7) Share your standard subcontract terms and payment schedule before finalization. (8) What is your mobilization timeline considering DICDL/DSIRDA approval cycles? Contractors who hesitate on greenfield investigation, saline-soil specifications, or DICDL/DSIRDA experience should be excluded from shortlist.
