Pile Foundation
Bored Cast-in-Situ Piling Specialists
Jalmala Boring Works provides Pile Foundation and Deep Foundation Solutions using Bored Cast-in-Situ Piles for residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. With advanced Hydraulic Rotary Rigs, we construct piles from 300 mm to 1800 mm diameter and depths of up to 50 metres, delivering reliable load-bearing capacity across soft soil, hard rock, and high groundwater conditions.

Our Piling Methods
We deploy six proven techniques — selected based on soil profile, site constraints, and project requirements.

We specialize in bored piling with diameters ranging from 200 mm to 2000 mm and depths up to 50 meters. Using advanced hydraulic rotary rigs, we execute piling operations efficiently across a wide range of soil conditions. Our fleet includes high-performance rotary drilling rigs capable of working in restricted headroom areas while delivering precision, stability, and high productivity.

Secant pile walls are constructed by intersecting reinforced concrete piles to form a continuous retaining structure. Primary piles are installed first, followed by reinforced secondary piles after sufficient curing. This technique provides excellent groundwater control and soil retention, making it ideal for deep excavations, basements, and foundation support in challenging ground conditions.

The Manual Auger Method is a reliable piling technique suitable for locations with restricted access or where low noise and vibration are essential. A tripod and manual winch system are used to drill boreholes using a helical auger. This method is commonly employed for pile diameters ranging from 250 mm to 1000 mm and offers an economical solution for smaller foundation projects.

Our Truck Mounted Rotary (TMR) rigs utilize continuous bentonite slurry circulation to stabilize boreholes during drilling. Auger drilling is performed to the required depth while bentonite slurry supports the excavation and carries excavated soil back to a recycling tank. This method ensures bore stability, efficient spoil removal, and high productivity, particularly in loose or soft soil strata.

The DMC Pile Method employs Mendola-type rigs combined with bentonite drilling fluid for safe and efficient pile construction. Surface soil is loosened using a bailer before drilling continues with a percussion chisel. Bentonite slurry stabilizes the bore while transporting excavated material to settling pits. Once the desired depth is achieved, the drilling tools are removed and the final depth is verified before reinforcement and concreting.

This method utilizes tractor-mounted rotary drilling rigs for fast and economical pile boring. Auger drilling is carried out to the required depth, with DMC rods added progressively to achieve deeper penetration through varying soil strata. It is particularly suitable for medium-depth foundation works and offers drilling capacities of up to 16 meters with excellent operational efficiency.

Piling Contractor Vapi – Damanganga River Floodplain & Arabian Sea Coastal Piling
Vapi sits at a geographic hinge point that many piling contractors underestimate. The Damanganga river flows through the city to the Arabian Sea, which is only about 10 km from Vapi. This means the city spans a range of hydrological conditions — from river floodplain to coastal belt to estuary — each with different piling requirements. A project 100 meters from the Damanganga is engineered differently from one 100 meters from the coast. This page is for developers, infrastructure contractors, and industrialists whose projects are river-adjacent or coastal — not for chemical estate piling (see our Vapi services page) or textile industry work (see our Vapi textile piling page). Here we focus on the hydrology: seasonal water table, saltwater intrusion, monsoon scheduling, and river-adjacent foundation design.
Damanganga River Floodplain – Seasonal Water Table Variation
The Damanganga river creates a floodplain dynamic that dominates piling in central Vapi. The water table rises 4-6 meters between dry season and monsoon peak (June-September), meaning pile design must account for both regimes — not a single "average" water table. During construction, piling within 500 meters of the river requires: seasonal water table monitoring (not just a single measurement during investigation); robust casing above the monsoon water table; bentonite slurry management adjusted for elevated water tables; and often deeper pile embedment to reach competent strata below the floodplain alluvium. Historic flooding along the Damanganga corridor (2006, 2019) means projects in low-lying areas need flood-resistant foundations and construction scheduling that avoids monsoon. Our Damanganga river-adjacent piling includes all of these as standard practice.
Arabian Sea Coastal Belt – Saltwater Intrusion & Chloride Attack
Vapi's coastal belt (within 3-5 km of the Arabian Sea) has groundwater with elevated chlorides — often 1,000-3,000 mg/L versus 200-500 mg/L inland. This creates two challenges. First, chloride attack on pile reinforcement — chlorides break down the passive oxide layer on steel, causing corrosion and eventual concrete spalling. Per IS 456 exposure classification, most of Vapi's coastal belt falls into "severe" to "very severe" categories, requiring: sulfate-resisting cement or PSC with 50%+ slag; 75-100 mm cover; epoxy-coated rebar in splash zones; and often cathodic protection for critical structures. Second, higher water table — coastal Vapi has water tables 1-3 meters higher than inland equivalents, requiring more robust drilling and casing. Our coastal piling in Vapi is specified to these IS 456 exposure categories, not generic "piling" specifications.
Estuary Zones – Where River Meets Sea Near Daman
The Damanganga estuary near Daman combines the two hydrology challenges — river floodplain dynamics plus coastal saltwater intrusion. Piling in the estuary zone requires combined river + coastal design: seasonal flood cycles (river influence) plus chloride-resistant concrete (sea influence) plus tidal water level fluctuation (both influences combined) plus estuary-specific scour considerations (tidal currents create deeper scour than river flow alone). Piling in the Daman estuary belt is a specialized niche — few contractors have direct experience. Our estuary piling work in the Vapi-Daman belt combines both river and coastal engineering disciplines.
Monsoon-Constrained Construction – Scheduling Around Hydrology
Piling in Vapi's river-adjacent and coastal zones during monsoon (June-September) is significantly constrained. Water tables rise 4-6 meters; flood zones become inaccessible; rainfall interrupts drilling; and occasionally, monsoon storms force complete stoppage. Practical approach: (1) schedule river-adjacent and flood-zone piling between October and May — the dry window; (2) for higher-ground coastal sites not affected by flooding, monsoon piling is feasible with enhanced water management; (3) any project in the Damanganga floodplain should plan around the monsoon window rather than fight it. Our piling schedules for river and coastal Vapi projects account for this — we don't promise monsoon delivery in flood zones that would put crews and equipment at risk.
