Pile Foundation
Bored Cast-in-Situ Piling Specialists
Jalmala Boring Works provides Pile Foundation and Deep Foundation Solutions using Bored Cast-in-Situ Piles for residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. With advanced Hydraulic Rotary Rigs, we construct piles from 300 mm to 1800 mm diameter and depths of up to 50 metres, delivering reliable load-bearing capacity across soft soil, hard rock, and high groundwater conditions.

Our Piling Methods
We deploy six proven techniques — selected based on soil profile, site constraints, and project requirements.

We specialize in bored piling with diameters ranging from 200 mm to 2000 mm and depths up to 50 meters. Using advanced hydraulic rotary rigs, we execute piling operations efficiently across a wide range of soil conditions. Our fleet includes high-performance rotary drilling rigs capable of working in restricted headroom areas while delivering precision, stability, and high productivity.

Secant pile walls are constructed by intersecting reinforced concrete piles to form a continuous retaining structure. Primary piles are installed first, followed by reinforced secondary piles after sufficient curing. This technique provides excellent groundwater control and soil retention, making it ideal for deep excavations, basements, and foundation support in challenging ground conditions.

The Manual Auger Method is a reliable piling technique suitable for locations with restricted access or where low noise and vibration are essential. A tripod and manual winch system are used to drill boreholes using a helical auger. This method is commonly employed for pile diameters ranging from 250 mm to 1000 mm and offers an economical solution for smaller foundation projects.

Our Truck Mounted Rotary (TMR) rigs utilize continuous bentonite slurry circulation to stabilize boreholes during drilling. Auger drilling is performed to the required depth while bentonite slurry supports the excavation and carries excavated soil back to a recycling tank. This method ensures bore stability, efficient spoil removal, and high productivity, particularly in loose or soft soil strata.

The DMC Pile Method employs Mendola-type rigs combined with bentonite drilling fluid for safe and efficient pile construction. Surface soil is loosened using a bailer before drilling continues with a percussion chisel. Bentonite slurry stabilizes the bore while transporting excavated material to settling pits. Once the desired depth is achieved, the drilling tools are removed and the final depth is verified before reinforcement and concreting.

This method utilizes tractor-mounted rotary drilling rigs for fast and economical pile boring. Auger drilling is carried out to the required depth, with DMC rods added progressively to achieve deeper penetration through varying soil strata. It is particularly suitable for medium-depth foundation works and offers drilling capacities of up to 16 meters with excellent operational efficiency.

Deep Foundation Contractor Gujarat – Full-Service Piles, Diaphragm Walls, Anchors & Micro Piles
Most contractors in Gujarat are specialists in one deep foundation type — piles, or diaphragm walls, or anchors, or micro piles. But many complex projects require multiple systems working together — a metro station needs diaphragm walls, bored piles, and ground anchors; a deep basement needs diaphragm walls and tieback anchors; a retrofit needs micro piles and underpinning. Coordinating three or four separate contractors on one deep foundation package wastes time, inflates cost, and creates interface risk. Jalmala Boring Works is a full-service deep foundation contractor — we deliver all six major deep foundation systems under one contract, with unified quality management, shared site facilities, and coordinated execution. If you are looking for a deep foundation contractor in Gujarat, this page explains what the term means, how system selection works, and why combined systems matter for your project.
Deep vs Shallow Foundation – When Deep Is Required
A deep foundation transfers structural loads to deeper, competent strata below the shallow soil — it is not the same as a shallow spread footing or raft. Deep foundation is required when: shallow soil is weak (soft clay, black cotton, loose sand); loads are very high (high-rise, industrial); water table is high (coastal, canal-irrigated); rock is at depth (deep alluvium); adjacent structures need protection (settlement, vibration); or uplift and lateral loads need anchoring. All six of these conditions exist across Gujarat — which is why deep foundation is the default for high-rise, industrial, and infrastructure projects in the state.
Six Deep Foundation Systems We Deliver in Gujarat
Our deep foundation contractor team in Gujarat delivers six interconnected systems. Bored cast-in-situ piles (450-1,500 mm diameter, 10-60 m depth) — the default for buildings, high-rise, and industrial plants across all Gujarat soil profiles, with technical detail in our bored pile concreting guide. Driven precast piles — preferred for coastal Kutch and Saurashtra, where displacement densification and water-tightness matter more than noise. Diaphragm walls — for deep basements and metro stations, water-tight and structurally integrated. Ground anchors — for excavation shoring, retaining walls, and slope stability. Micro piles (150-300 mm diameter) — for restricted-access sites, underpinning, and load transfer. And caissons / well foundations — for very high lateral loads (bridge piers, transmission towers in Kutch) and river crossings.
How System Selection Actually Works
Choosing the right deep foundation system in Gujarat depends on four factors. Load type — concentrated vertical loads (building columns) favor bored or driven piles; distributed loads (deep basement) favor diaphragm walls; lateral loads (retaining walls, slopes) favor ground anchors or diaphragm walls. Geotechnical profile — deep alluvium (South Gujarat) favors bored or driven piles to reach competent strata; shallow rock (Saurashtra basalt, Mehsana granite) favors rock-socketed bored piles; marine clay (coastal) favors driven piles or diaphragm walls. Site constraints — restricted access favors micro piles; vibration-sensitive sites favor bored over driven; water-tightness requirements favor diaphragm walls. Water table — high water table favors diaphragm walls (water-tight) or driven piles (displacement).
Combined Systems – Where the Real Value Sits
The most technically demanding projects in Gujarat require combined deep foundation systems, not a single method. A metro station box (Ahmedabad Metro, Surat Metro under development) uses diaphragm walls for the station perimeter (water-tight), bored piles for internal station structure, and ground anchors for excavation support. A deep basement in Ahmedabad's SG Highway uses diaphragm walls plus tieback anchors plus a bored pile foundation for the tower. A brownfield industrial retrofit in Ankleshwar uses micro piles for new equipment foundations plus pile jacketing for existing piles. A bridge over the Narmada or Tapi uses caissons for river piers plus bored piles for approach structures. When a single contractor delivers all these systems, coordination is seamless — no interface disputes, no schedule gaps between contractors, no divided responsibility for site safety. Our combined deep foundation systems in Gujarat are one of our key differentiators.
Complex Site Solutions – Where Experience Matters Most
Four site conditions in Gujarat consistently challenge deep foundation work — and require the right system, not a generic pile design. High water table (coastal Vapi, Dahej, Mundra; canal-irrigated Anand, Nadiad; river corridors Surat, Vadodara, Bharuch) — favors diaphragm walls or driven piles over standard bored piles. Rock at shallow depth (Saurashtra basalt, Mehsana granite) — favors rock-socketed bored piles over driven piles. Adjacent structures and vibration limits (urban Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara) — favors bored piles, ground anchors, and hydraulic piling over driven piles. Restricted access (brownfield retrofit, tight infill) — favors micro piles over large-diameter bored piles. Our deep foundation contractor team in Gujarat has executed all four complex scenarios across the state.
